4c) Work and power

Work Done:
- When a force moves an object, energy is transferred and work is done
Work Done (joules) = force (newtons) x distance moved (metres) 

Gravitational Potential Energy:
- Energy stored in an object
GPE (joules) = m (kg) x g (usually 10N/kg on earth) x h (metres) 

Kinetic energy:
- movement of an object
KE = 0.5 x mass x speed2

Falling objects
- convert GPE to KE 
Kinetic energy gained = GPE lost 

Power = Work done/ Time taken 
P = W/t
